Love the look on his face. It's like he's about to have a "What? What? WHAT?" moment.

I'm a bit young to be a long time fan, but I did grow up knowing what it was (doctor who addicted parents -- my dad has a tom baker-style scarf and mum always used to make things from "The Doctor Who Cookbook") and I remember being freaked out by the daleks during repeats that were on in the early nineties! *Love* the new stuff, although Torchwood's fairly dissapointing, especially considering how great Cap'n Jack is in DW.

I too was disappointed with Torchwood. It probably needs to loose the *We're an adult show, so we can include all sorts of stuff!* mentality and just get on with good story telling. The characters need to be more consistent, less angst ridden and at least give the impression that if the end of the world really was happening they would actually work together to solve it rather than whining and shooting each other.

And I agree, bring back the DW Captain Jack not the miserable parody Torchwood provided!

PS Whatever was in the Doctor Who cookbook!!? :o

I totally agree. Hopefully in season 2 he will be better~ now that his "must find doctor" angst has abated. They need to have a really likeable character on that show; and it should be Jack!

The DW cookbook was a group of recipes from the actors in the show (book was published in 85) -- some of them got creative and made the names sound Dr Whoish. For example Patrick Troughton's contribution was "Vegetable Soup with Dalek Krotons"

Your works are just brilliant. All of the subject material you've chosen is just perfect.
I'd love to see you take on Patrick McGoohan as Number Six, from 'The Prisoner' series. It would definitely fit right into your gallery.

Thank you. You have the distinction of being the first person to add all 10 Doctors as favourites at once. And the Masters.
I appreciate the watch and like very much the idea of Patrick McGoohan as a piece. There is always talk of a movie being made, but the original show was so unique. We have been to Portmeirion a couple of times and I have fond if distant memories of watching the show when younger.
Keep watching, new Masters, new Doctors, and for you The Prisoner. Consider it a thank you for the 12, count 'em, 12 favourites!

It was my pleasure. I just couldn't resist. Fine art deserves to have relative counterparts, in my mind at least, in order to compliment the subtleties imbued within each of them. Plus... hey, it's Doctor Who----and well done at that. You're extremely talented.

I've been trying to keep up with the Prisoner remake rumors as well. While I anticipate a rehash, nothing will ever be as amazing as McGoohan's original presentation. It's one of the greatest stories ever told.

Looking forward to seeing much more of your work!

David Tennant has such a brilliant spark for portraying a Time Lord - he is both spontaneous and slow to change. While he seems so very young and energetic, there are times when the action and the insanity stops just long enough so you can see the ancient hiding in his eyes.

Woo, I'd better stop. :D This is utterly fantastic. My first Doctor was Nine, but I'm very, very fond of Ten as well.

.. and I miss Rose. :(

It really does help to have such brilliant actors in the show.
And they say your first Doctor forever remains your 'special' Doctor....
My first was Three and I still miss Jo Grant!

And another brilliantly detailed drawing... wow. I love the expression. Captures Tennant's Doctor brilliantly.

The tenth Doctor's one of my favorites, right up there with the ninth at the top of my list. Just before the fourth. Haven't had enough exposure to some of the others to really know for sure which ones I like more. But the ninth being my first and the tenth being my thus-far all-time favorite isn't likely to change anytime soon. ^_^

It is said that your first Doctor is usually your favourite. Mine was always the third as Jon Pertwee's version was the one I watched mainly when growing up.
That said, I love what David Tennant is doing with his portrayal.

Thanks again for adding this one too.
